Planning and Creating a Museum
The transformation of the so called “Gießereihalle” (Foundry Hall) into the new home of the Museum für Konkrete Kunst und Design (MKKD) is nearing completion. However, planning and furnishing a museum involves significantly more than just the architecture of a building.
On the first floor, you can gain an in-depth look at the planning and development of the new museum – from the creation of its new corporate identity to the precise design and layout of the individual exhibition spaces.
Short films also introduce you to some of the museum and the Stiftung für Konkrete Kunst und Design (SKKD) staff, as well as other people involved in the planning process. They share their thoughts and ideas on the many different aspects of the new museum.
