How do I get to the museum?
On foot / by bus
From the Rathausplatz bus stop, it ist about 350 metres to the museum.
The route is partly narrow and not completely level.
There are seats at the bus stop.
On the way, you will need to cross a busy road. The kerb is lowerded.
By car
There are accessible parking spaces near the museum.

How do I get around the building?
The museum has three floors. All floors are accessible by lift. The toilets are located in the entrance area. There is also an accessible toilet there. The exhibitions are located on the first and second floors.
Visitors with a degree of disability of 50% or more are eligible for reduced admission.
Visitors with a German disabled person's pass (Schwerbehindertenausweis) and a degree of disability of 100%, or with one of the disability markers G, aG, Gl, H, Bl or TBl, are admitted free of charge. Their accompanying person is also admitted free of charge if the need for an accompanying person is noted on the disabled person's pass.

Our app provides texts about the exhibitions. You can read or listen to the texts.
The app also includes videos in German Sign Language (DGS)
In the exhibition
The exhibition Becoming MKKD includes a tactile station.
At the tactile station, you can explore selected works by touch.
You can listen to audio descriptions via QR codes.
Guided tours of the exhibition are also available on request in German Sign Language and Easy Language.
The Museum für Konkrete Kunst aims to make its websites, apps and digital services as accessible as possible. We want to make it easier for everyone to access our content and services. We are working to remove existing barriers and address accessibility issues.

◦ German Sign Language: From the opening of the new museum building, the museum app will provide videos in German Sign Language for selected works of art.
◦ Alternative text: At present, images and other media do not yet all have alternative text. We are working to provide accessible image descriptions in the future.
◦ Videos: Most of our videos in the exhibitions, in the app and on social media have german subtitles. Audio descriptions and full text alternatives are not yet available.
◦ PDF files: Some PDF documents are currently not fully accessible. If you need a particular document in an accessible format, please contact us.
◦ Forms: Our forms are currently not fully accessible. We are working to adapt them step by step. If you need assistance completing a form, please contact us.
◦ External content: We cannot guarantee full accessibility for external websites and documents that we link to.

The museum is located at: Tränktorstraße 6–8, 85049 Ingolstadt.
When is the museum open?
Das Museum is open:
Tuesday: 10 am – 5 pm
Wednesday: 10 am – 5 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm

What can I see at the museum?
The museum presents Concrete Art and Design.
Concrete Art is an art movement.
The term for this art movement was coined in the 1930s.
Works of Concrete Art do not depict things from the real world.
They use simple forms such as circles, squares and lines.
Concrete Art focuses on shapes and colors.
Design means objects that have been designed by people.
At the museum, you can visit an exhibition called: “Becoming MKKD. On Planning and Creating a Museum.“
“Becoming MKKD“ means that the MKKD is taking shape.
MKKD stands for Museum für Konkrete Kunst und Design.
There are texts that you can read.
There is also an app.
In the app, you can listen to information about the museum and its exhibitions.
