The conversion of the so-called Gießereihalle (Foundry hall) into the new home of the Museum für Konkrete Kunst und Design (Museum of Concrete Art and Design), designed by the Vienna-based architecture firm querkraft, is almost complete. Planning and setting up a museum involves far more than just the architecture of a building.
With the exhibition "Becoming MKKD. On Planning and Creating a Museum" you will gain concrete insights into the conceptual design of the new museum – from the development of the new corporate identity to the dimensions and sequence of the individual exhibition rooms. Through short films, you will also get to know several staff members from the museum and the Stiftung für Konkrete Kunst und Design (SKKD) as well as others involved in the planning process.
The tour will be interpreted in German Sign Language (DGS).
